Ep. 16: The Avengers

With the recent release of the trailer for The Avengers: The Age of Ultron, Nate and Ryan decided to revisit Joss Whedon’s 2012 blockbuster The Avengers.  Considered by many to be the crown jewel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, The Avengers broke box office records and was hailed by comic book geeks and noobs alike.

In keeping with the epic scope of Whedon’s vision, this episode covers a lot of ground, from the appeal of Joss Whedon, to the difference between superhero movies and historical epics.  Let us know what you think of The Avengers, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel vs. DC, The Dark Knight, and the difference between Christopher Nolan and Joss Whedon’s visions for the superhero genre.

Nate mentions two articles in the episode. They’re worth a read if you’ve got some time-
